Back

The Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) was established on 1 October 2015, bringing together the work of the National Employment Rights Authority, the Labour Relations Commission, the Rights Commissioner Service, the Equality Tribunal, and the first instances remit of the Employment Appeals Tribunal.

The WRC’s core services include early dispute resolution, mediation, conciliation, facilitation and advisory services, adjudication on complaints and disputes. The WRC promotes compliance with employment rights and equality legislation and, where necessary, achieving this through enforcement, the provision of employment rights and industrial relations information generally, and the processing of employment agency and protection of young persons (employment) licences.
